Story

Creativity has always been a part my life — but Thimble Kiss Co. was born in a season I never expected.

In 2022, just six months after welcoming my first daughter, I broke both of my arms in a roller-skating accident and found myself home from my nursing job, healing and caring for a baby. During recovery, I returned to creating — painting, gardening, upcycling thrift finds — until I dusted off an old sewing machine and felt a pull I couldn’t ignore.

I started sewing children’s clothes out of fabric remnants, learning as I went. My daughter wore cloth diapers and nothing ever fit her comfortably, so I set out to make better-fitting, thoughtfully designed pieces. That first romper sparked a journey that would grow into Thimble Kiss Co.

Over the past three years (and after welcoming another little girl), I immersed myself in garment construction, fabric science, and slow fashion. I invested in specialized machines, sourced ethical materials, and fell in love with natural fibers — especially wool for its durability, breathability, and comfort for active kids.

Sustainability sits at the heart of my work. I upcycle quality materials when possible, reduce waste, and create clothing meant to be worn, loved, and passed down — not tossed aside with fast fashion.

Handmaking runs deep in my family, and I’m proud to carry on that tradition of craftsmanship, care, and quality.

The name Thimble Kiss Co comes from a moment in Peter Pan, symbolizing childhood imagination and meaningful little treasures — the spirit behind everything I create.

Each piece is slow-made with intention, designed for play, growth, and lasting memories.

Thank you for supporting handmade, sustainable fashion.
